Axel and Daddy playing with the band...

I hope you all enjoy this short clip...

During band practice at a friends house(Lew Wollhuter), my son decided that he ain't sitting around...he fetched his own drum, walked inbetween speakers, cables, amps, guitars, drumsets, pumping music, etc etc etc...found a place right next to his Dad...and just joined in with the band practice...

Note that at a point the music stops for 4 notes...but notice how Ax kept those four notes in a perfect time signature...

Ladies and Gentleman and Fellow Muzo's....introducing the next generation musician right here!!!!!

In this video he is about a year and a half!

Gig at Bowling Alley in George

So My friend and I are in a band called Soul Kitchen...

This was a gig at the Bowling Alley's Bar in George in South Africa.  We were a, what I call, Africa meets Jimi Hendrix duo...Craig plays exactly like the great Jimi himself...and I laid down some African vibes to match his tempo and rhythm...we were a hit band for about a year...and man, we had loads of fun together!!!

Even Axel shook his bum all over the dance floor...Watch out mom's...in about 13years this kid is gonna be a ladies man of note!!!...and we all lnow Girls love a muzo!!!!hehehe

Random Jam with an American Brass BELL Band

So...I went to the mall on a normal average day, to meet the family for a cup of coffee at Mugg and Bean...when suddenly, in walks an American Bell Band and starts to set up.

For those of you that know me...I ALWAYS have a drum with me, even my son takes his drum everywhere with us...so without any hesitation, both the Nicholson Drummers ran to fetch our drums and joined in!!!!

It was such a fun 30mins of jamming with this group...they also did an Acapella of a Xhosa song, which surprised me very much

At one point I quickly tightened up their one and only drum for them, and gave the one girl a quick 5minute lesson on an interesting rhythm for her to learn...

What an amazing random meeting of people...thanks to all those that were there, and the audience loved it just a much, thank you for the shouts of approval, applause, and cheers of encouragement!
